Kelvin Ong, Assistant Channels Development Manager, Sentosa Development Corporation

Kelvin is an Assistant Channels Development Manager at Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) where he is currently in the E-Commerce & Partnerships Team. SDC is a Statutory Board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry whose main mission is to oversee the overall development & management of the island. His main role is to cultivate and nurture new and existing corporate partnerships as well as leveraging on their E-Commerce platform to outreach and diversify the island attractions offerings to consumers.

Prior to this, Kelvin graduated from the SDC Management Associate Programme where he was given an accelerated induction experience within the organization. He underwent three different corporate attachments to learn different aspects of the island’s business which included a valuable six month stint in the Chief Executive Office where he understudied and reported directly to the CEO. Knowing that the course of his work at Sentosa has an impact in shaping the Singapore tourism landscape, he knows that it is not just a job, but is one that carries it with a great sense of purpose.

Kelvin was also the Valedictorian for his graduating class where he graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management from Singapore Institute of Technology in 2014.
